Welcome to the "I need a tractor club". I went from a sears 12 hp garden tractor to a grey market tractor. I suggest the first place to start is the small tractor FAQ. It used to be at www.andrew.cmu.edu/user/kb13/ans-grey.htm If you can work on your own equipment then look at grey market tractors, if you can't then stay clear of them. Here in Ohio people tend to use the older 8N fords for the type of work you're talking about. Also try to stay away from the orphan tractors (oliver, massey harris, etc.), I also tend to believe that although Kioti, Belarus, Rhino, etc offer great deals for the money, in the long run parts availability could be an issue. ....

I'd reccomend a grey market tractor, espeacially Yanmar. It sounds like you need a small tractor. These tractors usually have under 1000 hours & features like 3 point , live hydraulics, & pto & are alot newer than the old farm tractors that many people buy for your kind of use. They are usually priced at 1/2 of new & 2/3 of used domestics. If you need more info feel free to contact me. I have several for sale. ....

your biggest problem is you don't have enough use for one! this is very hard to justify. I would never go to the gray market due to parts. I would look at a small kubota and not the B7100 or B7300 as they don't have power steering. ....
